John arrived at Seeds of Hope Nigeria with his younger brother, Chebene, after experiencing abandonment and instability in their community due to Muslim attacks. Their mother left both boys as infants in the care of their aunt, who did her best to raise them alongside her own children. With their father absent and believed to have been killed during a Muslim attack on their village, the family faced increasing hardship.

Unable to continue meeting the needs of all the children in her care, their aunt sought assistance from Seeds of Hope Nigeria. John was welcomed into the Safe House on December 20, 2021, where he now lives in a safe and nurturing environment.
