Mercy lost both of her parents due to illness and was later cared for by relatives who struggled to meet her basic needs. During the ongoing crisis in her community, Mercy narrowly escaped death when her village was attacked by Muslim militants.

Concerned for her safety and future, her relatives sought assistance from Seeds of Hope Nigeria. Mercy arrived at the Safe House on January 17, 2023, where she now receives care, education, and the support she needs to grow and thrive in a safe environment.
