Tabitha lost her mother during an attack on her community by Muslim Fulani herdsmen. Her father suffers from mental illness and is unable to care for her. She was temporarily cared for by an elderly woman in the community, but after the attacks left her with nothing, she was no longer able to meet Tabitha’s needs.

Tabitha was later welcomed into the care of Seeds of Hope Nigeria on December 20th, 2021, where she now lives in a safe and supportive environment.
