Christabel was found displaced after an attack in her region carried out by Muslim Fulani herdsmen. A local pastor discovered her in the aftermath of the violence, and it is believed that her parents were likely killed during the attack. To this day, no relatives or family members have been identified.

Recognizing her vulnerable situation, the pastor sought assistance from Seeds of Hope Nigeria to ensure she could grow up in a safe and loving environment. Christabel was welcomed into the Seeds of Hope Nigeria Safe House on March 16, 2022, where she now receives care, stability, and the opportunity to grow and thrive.
