Desmond came to Seeds of Hope Nigeria with his older brother, Lawrence, after their family suffered great loss. Their father was killed during a Muslim attack on their village, and their mother later died from illness.

Their grandfather tried to care for the boys but was unable to meet their long-term needs. Desmond arrived at the Safe House on December 17, 2021. In 2025, their brother Isaac joined them from another orphanage, joyfully reuniting the three brothers at Seeds of Hope.
